Nimebahatika kuletewa malumbano ya baadhi ya wasomaji wa makala yangu juu ya “Tuepuke sumu hizi” katika Jamiiforums. Mimi sielewi wasomaji hawa wanapotezaje muda kuoneshana nani kasoma nini, na nani hawezekaniki kitaaluma. Mimi nilijiandikia hali niionayo kimtazamo wangu.

Watanzania kweli tuna sababu za kuvimbishiana misuli kuonesha nani ni nani kielimu? Hebu someni mabishano haya kati ya wasomaji wa Jamiiforums.

Makala hiyo hapo chini ya Brigedia Jenerali Mstaafu Francis Mbenna katika Gazeti la Jamhuri la tarehe 26 Julai 2016 imeweka nukuu kutoka kitabu changu: “The Life and Times of Abdulwahid Sykes (1924 – 1968).

The Untold Story of the Muslim Struggle against British Colonialism in Tanganyika,” Minerva Press London, 1998. Bwana Mbenna anatahadharisha kuhusu maneno yangu hayo. Nayaweka hapo chini maneno yangu ili iwe wepesi kusomeka:-

“…one has to keep in mind that Muslims were a majority in Dar es Salaam and were in control of local politics. Very few Muslims had confidence in mission-educated Christians. They were perceived as being too close to the colonial state to take a leading role in the struggle for independence, and many people used the election to show their objection to Nyerere. They saw him as an outsider withdrew their support from the association. Nyerere was new to the town. He had no political base of his own and was for the most of the week teaching at Pugu, outside Dar es Salaam. Abdulwahid was flamboyant and as president of TAA he had put colour into the office.

He used to invite TAA activists to his house for lunches and dinners and this added to his popularity. At that time many thought Nyerere would not fit into Abdulwahid’s shoes.

“After returning back from Tabora, Sheikh Suleiman Takadir, Bibi Titi Mohamed, Elias Kissenge and Bhoke Munanka accompanied Nyerere on a tour of Eastern Province to explain to the people of the importance and implications of the coming election. Nyerere pointed out to the people what Africans would have stood to lose if TANU had voted for a boycott of the election. But it seems Sheikh Takadir was participating in those rallies in body only; his soul and mind was not in it. He was worried by the turn of events in TANU and the way politics was assuming new dimensions. Sheikh Takadir was noticing the encroachment of Christian leadership in TANU which was going to be voted into the Legislative Council. Because of the peculiar election regulations, TANU had therefore to look outside its own rank and file for qualified candidates to contest the election against UTP. TANU elected Julius Nyerere, Chief Abdallah Said Fundikira, John Ketto, Nesmo Eliufoo, John Mwakangale, Lawi Sijaona, Paul Bomani and George Kahama to stand as TANU candidates. Some of these were people who did not rise up with the political movement. Sheikh Takadir feared that once in power these mission-educated Christians and newcomers in the struggle would strive to maintain the colonial status quo having no obligation to lead the movement to its logical conclusion.”

Siwezi kuwa na maneno mengi ya kumjibu Bwana Mbenna kwani baada ya nusu karne ya Uhuru, Waislam wenyewe wameshaitathmini hali yao na wamesema kuiambia Serikali Uhuru wa Tanganyika umekuwa na maana gani kwao.

 Waislam wamevunjiwa taasisi iliyokuwa inataka kujenga Chuo Kikuu mwaka 1968 na wananyimwa kila fursa katika elimu kisha wanalaumiwa ati hawajajenga vyuo kama wenzao.

Msome Njozi (2002) kaeleza kila kitu. SivaIon (1992) yeye kasema wazi Uislam ni adui yetu.

Bergen (1981) kaeleza Nyerere alikuwa anapendelea Kanisa lake.

Takwimu si hizo ndugu yangu nakuwekea hapo juu?

 Kaka Mohamed Said anakwepa kujibu maswali haya. Ninachotaka kusema ni kwamba sisi sote ni ndugu. Tukianza kuhesabu waajiriwa, wateuliwa na wengineo kwa msingi ya kidini itakuwa ni hatari. Kila dhehebu (madhehebu) lijitahidi kujiletea maendeleo kwa kadiri itakavyowezekana. Tufute dhana potovu kwamba dini fulani zinaonewa au kukandamizwa. Mambo ya nyuma yameshapita. Tuoneshe leo tunafanya nini kujiletea maendeleo yetu. Kama tumekwama ni kweli Serikali inatukwamisha? Sidhani!. Machapisho yenye kuchochea chuki yasiruhusiwe kabisa nchini mwetu. Cheche Mtungi Jamiiforums

 Vyovyote iwavyo, hiyo ni historia. Mmefanya nini muda wote huo tangu tupate Uhuru kujikwamua badala ya kulalamika? Mmekatazwa kujenga shule zenu, vyuo vyenu na taasisi zingine za huduma za kijamii? Hapo ndipo unijibu.

Kwa mfano wewe unazungumzia mambo ya mwaka 1968. Hivi karibuni mmefanya nini kujikwamua? Au ndio inabaki historia tu kwamba tulikwamishwa huko nyuma. Basi tulihujumiwa, tulihujumiwa! Nikupe mfano mdogo tu, Wakristo baada ya kuruhusiwa kwa vyuo binafsi kwa kipindi cha miaka 15 tu iliyopita tayari wana vyuo vikuu 17. Ninyi mlianzisha vingapi kipindi hiki? Au hiyo BAKWATA ilikataza msijenge?

Wakristo wana hospitali zenye hadhi ya Wilaya na Rufaa kama KCMC na Bugando; na Hospitali za Wilaya kadhaa. Niambie ninyi mna ngapi? Nataka tubishane kwa takwimu siyo masimulizi tu ya historia kwamba nani alikwamisha! Mara walipanga hivi! Chukua hii.

Kwa mujibu wa Catholic Directory (2002) Wakatoliki pekee bila kuhesabu madhehebu mengine ya Ukristo walikuwa na Sekondari 123. Zaidi ya hayo, Christian Social Service Cornrnission (CSSC 2013 ambao ni TEC na CCT)  takwimu zao zinaonesha Shule za Awali na Msingi zilikuwa 176, Sekondari 256, Seminari 52, Vyuo vya Walimu 21,Vyuo vya Ufundi 132, na Vyuo Vikuu 17 (Jumla 654).

Kwa upande wa Huduma za Afya, takwimu za CSSC (2013) zinaonesha kuwa kulikuwa na Vituo vya Kutolea Huduma za Afya(TEC na CCT tu ) 101 ambako kati ya hizo; 37 ni Hospitali za Wilaya (DDH) na Hospitali za Rufaa 2.

Aidha,  kulikuwa na Vituo vya Afya wakati huo 103 na Zahanati zaidi ya 600. Kumbuka hapa ndipo panazalisha wataalam na wasomi wengi wanaoingia sokoni.

Unasema kwa kuchapisha vijarida na kitabu sikuwezi. Nakubali sikuwezi, basi angalau nipe takwimu za upande wako nizione hapa! Zikiwa zaidi ya hizi sitabishana nawe”

Aidha, walioniletea ujumbe mfupi wa maandishi (SMS) ni wengi tu, lakini wanaolumbana kitaaluam ndiyo hayo nimeyanukuu hapa.

Katika Gazeti la JAMHURI toleo Na. 254 la tarehe 9 – 15 Agosti, 2016 zimetolewa takwimu kuthibitisha kuwa Waislamu hawakuachwa nyuma katika utawala eti kwa kudhulumiwa na mfumo Kristo.

Dhana potofu namna hii hazijengi Taifa la Tanzania. Sifa stahiki ndizo zinawapa fursa Watanzania wasomi kushika madaraka katika nchi hii. Wasomi wasiwe mstari wa mbele kupotosha ukweli na historia itawasuta tu. Tuchape kazi tu kuendeleza nchi yetu.

Watanzania tunapozungumzia demokrasia ni pamoja na huo Uhuru wa Kikatiba wa kila Mtanzania kutoa mawazo yake wazi wazi namna hii.

Katiba yetu ya Muungano ya mwaka 1977 sura ile ya III: HAKI NA WAJIBU MUHIMU – ibara ya 18 vifungu vidogo vya “a” – “c” vimeeleza kinagaubaga Uhuru huo wa kutoa mawazo kama wana Jamiiforums wanavyojisemea bila hofu yoyote.

Mimi natiwa moyo kuona makala yangu ile imeamsha wasomi kujieleza vile. Hasa hasa natiwa moyo na tabia yetu Watanzania kulumbana lakini kamwe hatupigani wala hatutengani- tunabaki na umoja wetu na mshikamano wetu. Hapa Kazi Tu, hakuna Uislamu wala Ukristo- isipokuwa UTANZANIA.

 Basi, ningeomba kale ka-ugonjwa ka kutokujiamini miongoni mwa Watanzania kwa Kiingereza kanaitwa “Inferiority Compelx” yaani tabia ya kitoto ya kunung’unika nung’unika au kulalamika lalamika- mara mbona hiki mimi sipewi na kapewa yule (perpetual grumbling) – tukaache. Msomi yeyote aliyeelimika kweli hana sababu za ulalamishi ule wa kitoto.

Changamoto yetu Watanzania ni kujenga Taifa lenye umoja na mshikamano. La maana kwetu ni hili la kuilinda AMANI na utulivu katika Taifa letu.
